The Urban Fatherhood Mission
Our Mission is
to reduce the number of fatherless families by providing young
men in urban communities with training and opportunities that
will allow them to be independent, motivated, and encouraged to
be active in their children’s lives.
Our Objective Is…
To create awareness on the importance of the fathers role
in his children’s lives.
To inspire young men to expand their education so they
may earn greater success in life.
To create community counseling services to resolve
personal and domestic situations at home.
To assist young men with college and trade school
enrollment, and to help with the financial aid application
process.
To Conduct motivational meetings led by community and
church leaders, successful local business people, celebrities,
and teachers so that young men can learn about their
opportunities in life.
To Host job fairs and to recruit local employers to
establish more entry level and internship positions for at-risk
young men enrolled in this program.
To Recognize/Award/&Reward the young people who
successfully enter into college, trade school, and/or employment
by using the services of this program as a way of creating
motivation and higher self-esteem.
To raise funds so that The Urban Fatherhood Project can
continue to create programs designed to raise the quality of
life for young people in our city.
