About the Urban Fatherhood Network
The
Urban fatherhood Network is involved in various events to
encourage growth and personal development for young people in
the urban community, particularly the young men. The Urban
fatherhood Project is seeking to create opportunities, directly
in the neighborhoods where opportunity is needed. Conducting
personal growth meetings, job fairs, conferences, workshops and
developing outreach programs will accomplish this goal. Many of
the young men we focus on have grown up without the proper
guidance, support, and positive role models in their lives, thus
creating a future filled with frustration, low self-esteem,
failure, and pain.
The Urban Fatherhood Network will provide young men, with
training and opportunities that will allow young men to be
independent. The Urban Fatherhood Network will offer motivation
that will encourage young fathers to play an active role in
their children’s lives. The direct benefit will be to the
children, the community and to the young men we help in our
program.
